No problem. I’ll research the industry, speak to your leaders and employees, and make sure your capabilities and personality shine through.
I have a bunch of content I’d like to use, but it’s not organized and different people wrote it.
It sounds like what you need is a thorough edit/rewrite. I’ll take what you have, identify any gaps in information and suggest changes/additions to make the content and tone consistent. After we agree on a plan of action, I’ll execute it and deliver fully polished content.
Can you suggest story ideas?
Yes I can. I’ll take a look at what your target audience is reading and offer story ideas that will engage them. If you already publish a newsletter, I can suggest new departments and features to increase readership.
I often have very tight deadlines. Can you handle that?
I can. I’m a full-time writer who is available year-round. While I typically work on several projects at once, I’m a good planner and I never promise anything I can’t deliver.
I’ve never worked with someone I haven’t met. Can this be a problem?
Not at all. Even clients who are just a few miles from me don’t need to see me. We can take care of everything by phone, email, ftp and FedEx.
Do you charge by the hour or by the project?
Both. If a project is open-ended, like a website where you’re not sure what content you need, hourly works best. For an article or white paper that can be completed in a predictable series of steps, by project makes sense.
I also need design and project management services. Do you know anyone good?
